Since 2025, the only specialized sports data science center throughout the region has been operating at the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport – the Physical Culture and Sports Data Collection and Analysis Management Center.

The primary objective of the Center is to establish a scientific, educational, and analytical platform that ensures the systematic and sustainable development of the sports sector.

The Center will develop a unified digital database of sports data, elaborate methodologies for analyzing and evaluating sports performance, and introduce data protection and ethical oversight mechanisms in the field of sports analytics.

The activities of the Center are of strategic importance for the Republic of Armenia and are aimed at:
• increasing sport competitiveness,
• improving the effectiveness of state sports policy,
• promoting a healthy lifestyle among youth,
• strengthening the integration of science and sport.
