The Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport hosted Norbert Pachler, Deputy Dean of the Institute of Education (IOE) at University College London (UCL), responsible for quality management, educational programs, and supporting pedagogical innovation; Addé Hovhannisyan, Director of the British Council’s Armenia office; Armen Simonyan, Director of the “Academic City” Foundation; and Lilith Petrosyan, Coordinator of the educational cluster.

A round-table discussion was held in the Institute’s library on the compatibility of the educational programs of the universities included in the educational cluster of the “Academic City” project and the potential for ensuring the continuity of the ASIPCS’s programs in this context.

Acting Rector Tigran Simonyan welcomed the guests and presented the main directions of the Institute’s activities (pedagogical, coaching, sports, scientific and research, etc.). “I am confident that the process of globalization will be smooth and seamless, with the perspective of preserving the uniqueness of ASIPCS’s educational programs. Our prior goal remains the same—to provide quality education, regardless of the Institute’s status,” said Tigran Simonyan.

The British expert shared his experience and discussed the challenges encountered in the unification process and the ways to overcome them. Norbert Pachler requested to documentize and present ASIPCS’s proposals carefully, which, after being studied and compiled, could be included in the expert opinion.

After the discussion, the guests visited the Institute’s museum and observed the practical training of student-athletes.
