In recognition of humanitarian assistance and support in rescue operations after devastating earthquakes hit south-east Turkey and Syria, ASIPCS Rector handed over special certificates of gratitude to ASIPCS alumni Sergey Bidzyan and Hayk Naghdalyan – commanders of the Rescue Squad of the Special Purpose Rescue Operations Center across the Rescue Service, Rescue Forces Department of the RA Ministry of Internal Affairs; Edgar Galoyan – senior cynologist; Artur Sargsyan – deputy commander; Roman Khachatryan – squad group leader; Samvel Kolyan – mountain rescuer; Tigran Davtyan – rescuer.
Rector, Professor Davit Khitaryan expressed gratitude to the rescuers for joining global effort on behalf of Armenia and our Institute, then added: “The job of rescuer is of the most humanitarian one and you deserve the honor as a representative of this specialty. I am glad that you were able to best demonstrate the knowledge you gained across our HEI in assisting to those affected by the earthquake, specifically in saving human lives”.
The rescuers thanked and really appreciated the time and attention took to encourage them in the work.
The meeting was also attended by Suren Danielyan – head of the Chair of Sport Tourism and Rescue Works of ASIPCS as well as students enrolled in rescuing specialty.
