A roundtable discussion “Trends and Challenges of Sports Law in the Republic of Armenia” was held at the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport.

The meeting was organized in collaboration with Resolve Academy, ICC Armenian Office, Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission.

The event aimed to uncover legal issues in the sport sector and find effective solutions with input from industry representatives.

The acting rector of ASIPCS, Tigran Simonyan welcomed the participants with an opening speech. Tatev Karapetyan, director of “Resolve Academy” and deputy chairman of the Arbitration and Alternative Dispute Resolution Commission, moderated the roundtable discussion.

ASIPCS Vice-Rector for Educational and Scientific Affairs, Hasmik Avagyan, delivered a speech on “Issues and Current Challenges of the Sport Sector in Armenia.” Ashot Kureghyan, an expert from the professional committee of the “Sport Resolutions” center, made a report on “The Issue of Aligning Armenia’s Sport Model with the European Sport Model: The Pyramid Structure, Legal Consequences of Non-Compliance, and its Impact on the RA Sport.” Jirayr Habibyan, a representative of the managing partner “Matouk Bassiouny’s,” discussed “Challenges in Sports Law.”

At the conclusion of the event, the acting rector Tigran Simonyan thanked the speakers for their insightful lectures and presented them with souvenirs.
