Upon the proposal of the Armenian State Institute of Physical Culture and Sport (ASIPCS), the 2029 Congress of the International Federation of Physical Education and Sport (FIEPS Europe) is scheduled to take place in Yerevan. This agreement was reached during a meeting between ASIPCS Rector Tigran Simonyan, FIEPS Europe President Dario Novak, and FIEPS World President Branislav Antala.
The guests met with the authors of the scientific project “Ways to improve the effectiveness of teaching ‘Physical Culture’ in secondary schools of the Republic of Armenia”- Hasmik Avagyan, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia, and Karine Kocharyan, Head of the Data Collection and Analysis Management Center for Physical Culture and Sport at ASIPCS. Notably, Dario Novak serves as the international partner of the project. During the meeting, participants discussed the research conducted in secondary schools across Armenia’s regions, with particular emphasis on data collection, analysis, and ongoing efforts to improve the effectiveness of physical culture classes. Mr. Novak expressed his willingness to share analytical data and other essential materials with his Armenian colleagues.
The guests expressed their preliminary consent to participate as speakers at the annual forum of ASIPCS – “Sport for Peace and Health.” As part of the visit, they toured the HEI’s “Sport EMI” scientific and research center and became acquainted with its key areas of activity, as well as its completed and forthcoming research initiatives.
Dario Novak and Branislav Antala also met with ASIPCS representatives who had participated in the FIEPS New Leaders program in previous years. During the visit, they toured the HEI Museum and made an entry in the Museum’s memorial book.
